List of games that needs SSE 4.1/4.2

I made this list to aid people that has negative balance on their wallet and cannot upgrade their system. Even with that being said, upgrading is best option, because the performance might be awful. I assumed all of you reading this uses DDR3 ram on their PC, leaving you with only two thing to replace: CPU and Mainboard... (and possibly cooler if the cooler don't have LGA 115x/1200 mounting or you lost them)

(I upgraded from q8400 to 10100f)

Bare minimum upgrade to done with keeping most stuff plug-n-play:

• Intel: 1st gen i3,i5,i7.
• AMD: FX-series. 

Advanced upgrade, most stuff still plug-n-play:

• Intel: 2nd-4th gen i3,i5,i7 (Sandy, Ivy, Haswell)
• AMD: Stay on FX-series, A series APU are only good at iGPU performance, not CPU performance. Ryzen needs DDR4.

Please look at legends first:

• 🔒 : DRM induced (like DENUVO, this is most of the case)
• 💣 : Partial support (would run on Penryn/Wolfdale (45nm) Core 2 series but not Phenoms)
• 💨 : Patches is needed!!
• 💥 : Nothing you can do apart of getting a new motherboard and CPU.

 

List of games that needs SSE 4.1/4.2

• DOOM Eternal (🔒, 💨, 💣, fixes available. Needs SSE 4.1 after patched)
• Quantum Break (🔒, 💨, 💣, fixes available. Needs SSE 4.1 after patched. Just edit file)
• Far Cry 5 (🔒, 💣, would run on Penryn/Wolfdale 45nm Core 2 Series)
• Apex Legends (💥, get something like i3-550. Bare minimum that I can think of.)
• NBA 2K20/19/18 (🔒, 💣, use Intel SDE to simulate SSE 4.1. Would run on Penryn/Wolfdale 45nm Core 2 Series. Now it can run on AM3 socket Phenom)
• COD Warzone (💥, get something like i5-2500/3470. Bare minimum that I can think of. Firs)
• Control (🔒, 💨, 💣, fixes available. Needs SSE 4.1 after patched. Just edit file, like quantum break)
• Oculus Setup (💨, 💣, use Intel SDE to simulate SSE 4.1, self imposed. Would run on Penryn/Wolfdale 45nm Core 2 Series. Now it can run on AM3 socket Phenom)
• Cyberpunk 2077 (💨, 💣, use Intel SDE to simulate SSE 4.1, THIS GAME HAS NO DRM. When this was written, it's buggy, performance on Penryn/Wolfdale 45nm Core 2 Series and Phenom might be worst.)
